Urban Art
Following quickly on from Urban decay I proudly present Urban Art. The derelict building shown previously has some amazing urban art, I dont think graffitti is a fair description as these guys have some real skill and I met a few of them today.....so, without further ado, i present Urban Art
Colour pop baby!
This is definately my favourite piece!!
No idea what this is, but it looks like something from Star Wars
Walking through an urban art gallery....
The artist at work
Colour pop to bring the red out
A couple of final touch ups...
Sexting.....
So that is it for now, see you soon!!
Urban Decay
So whilst out for a walk I found myself (with camera) in a derelict former power station. Not much remans of the original structures just the main building which has really fallen into ruin, but has some amazing urban art on the walls (which will follow in the next post). So on with the pictures.....
The interior of the building has been well and truely stripped out, leaving very little of the original features behind
One of the few items that I found whilst there
Slightly dodgy staircase.....
Ready to descend into hell.....
Mind the gap.......the last step is a killer
I think that pretty much every single surface has been decorated, most of it is really good urban art
So that is the dereliction side of the power station, next, the art...

When the past meets the present
Well Happy New Year to you all! It has been a long while since I last blogged and hence the resolution is to try and blog at least once a week......so here we are the first of 2013....
I came across some pics recently on the web where someone had mashed up WWII photos with modern ones taken in the same place and I decided for the first post of the year to give it a go, so here are my first 5 attempts at this, taken in my home town of Darwen
