Lytham war weekend 5

Well, having awoken this morning with a monster hangover and swimming has been done I think it is time to do one more blog from the war weekend, with a mix of people and things....

Now I think these two are in fancy dress....or they may just be old fashioned...


This fella is representing the 'Filthy Thirteen' from the 506th PIR in the 101st Airborne Division who were the Demolition Section of the division......yep, WWII history fanatic, for which I make no apologies!!

Lytham War Weekend 2

And now onto our second post of the day, more people. more uniforms, and in my opinion, more amusement!!!!

Lytham War Weekend 1

So, the other day i heard about another WWII weekend happening, following on from my visit to the one at Ramsbottom (see earlier posts!!!) This one was in Lytham, aka Lytham St Annes, really beautiful part of the world, lovely seaside town and well suited to host a war time weekend.

So in this post (yes, you guessed it, there will be many) I shall start with the people...these people spend their time dressing up in period costume and re-enacting times gone by...and I so want to join them....

So on with the pictures...
